Pre-planned Courses: Courses are announced at the pre-race Skipper's Meeting and usually selected from our list of pre-planned courses.

Sunday pre-race Skipper's and Crew meeting
​Skippers Meeting on Sunday race mornings at 10:15 at the Gibsons Marina.

At the skippers meeting the course and the type of race is announced and the type of start as either a "Shot gun" (time on time) or a and "pursuit start".
​
For Time on time races, boats report their finishing time by radio channel 73 and the Race Committee later determines the results after calculating the adjusted time for each boat using the PHRF handicapping system. If the race is a pursuit race, the finishing order of the boats is the race result as the handicapping is calculated into their start time.
